About

Moy Hill Farm is a mixed regenerative farm and education hub near Lahinch in County Clare, led by Fergal Smith and the farm team. Established from a small community garden, the farm has grown into a diverse system combining no-dig market gardens, livestock, agri-forestry, Korean Natural Farming and hands-on training. Its work is rooted in soil health, local food, ecological restoration and farmer education, with a strong focus on helping people reconnect with land, food and practical regenerative farming skills. We are organic certified, apart of the savory institute (eov verified) and have been practicing natural farming methods for the past three years.

How are you using natural farming on your land or farm?

We are trying to use all the natural farming inputs for all enterprises. But mainly the market garden.

What changes or results have you noticed so far?

Definitely changed a lot of thinking on how to do things. Has definitely created healthier plants, and healthier animals.

What would you say to another farmer who is curious but unsure?

If your genuinely interested in soil health and trying to produce more nutritious food then you have to try it. And once you start you won’t be able to stop.
