Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Natural Farming Ireland ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@naturalfarmingireland.com.

Who we are

Natural Farming Ireland is a trading name based in the west of Ireland. We provide Korean Natural Farming courses, consultancy, and educational content to farmers and growers, primarily in Ireland.

The person responsible for data protection at Natural Farming Ireland is Tom Stack. You can reach him at the email above.

What information we collect

We only collect information that is necessary to provide our services or that you choose to share with us. Specifically:

Information you give us directly. When you book a course, fill in a contact form, sign up for our newsletter, or arrange a consultancy visit, we collect your name, email address, phone number where relevant, billing address, and any details you include in a message to us. For farmer directory listings, we also collect the additional information you choose to submit through the directory form.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Webflow) logs basic technical information including your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you visit. This is standard server-level logging used for security and site performance.

Payment information. All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details at any point. Stripe handles the transaction and sends us only what we need to confirm your booking (your name, email, amount paid, and a transaction reference). Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment data they hold. You can read it at stripe.com/privacy.

Cookies and tracking. Our website uses essential cookies needed for the site to function and to remember your preferences. If we add analytics or marketing tracking in future, we will update this policy and present a cookie banner allowing you to choose what you accept before any non-essential tracking begins.

How we use your information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

To provide our services. Confirming course bookings, sending joining instructions, arranging consultancy visits, answering enquiries, and issuing invoices or receipts.

To send you communications you have asked for. If you have signed up for our newsletter, we will send you occasional emails about upcoming courses, events, and updates from the farm. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

To improve our work. We may review which courses are most popular, which questions come up most often, and what content people find useful, so that we can make our services better. This is done in aggregate where possible.

To meet our legal obligations. We may need to keep certain records for tax, accounting, or regulatory purposes.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever, for any reason.

Legal basis for processing

Under GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:

Contract. Processing your data to deliver a course or consultancy you have booked.

Consent. Processing your data for marketing emails, which you have actively signed up for and can withdraw at any time.

Legitimate interest. Operating and improving the website, responding to enquiries, and basic security logging.

Legal obligation. Keeping records required by Irish tax and business law.

Who we share your information with

We share your information only with the third parties needed to run our services. Currently these are:

Stripe. Payment processor. Handles all card transactions for course bookings and other payments.

Webflow. Website hosting and basic site analytics.

Email service provider. When we send newsletters or course communications, we use a third-party email service. The name of the current provider will be available on request.

Accountant and tax advisers. Where personal data appears in invoices or financial records that need to be reviewed for tax purposes.

Authorities, where legally required. We will only share information with public authorities if compelled by law.

All third parties we work with are themselves GDPR-compliant and bound by data protection agreements where applicable.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information only as long as we need it.

Course bookings and invoices are kept for seven years to meet Irish tax and accounting requirements.

Contact form enquiries are kept for up to two years and then deleted, unless you go on to become a course participant or client.

Newsletter subscriber data is kept for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we remove your email from active mailing within 30 days.

Farmer directory listings are kept for as long as you wish to be listed. You can ask to be removed at any time.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Right to rectification. You can ask us to correct anything we hold that is wrong or incomplete.

Right to erasure. You can ask us to delete your personal information, subject to our legal obligations (we may need to keep some records for tax purposes even after you ask).

Right to restrict processing. You can ask us to limit how we use your information.

Right to data portability. You can ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere.

Right to object. You can object to certain types of processing, particularly marketing.

Right to withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@naturalfarmingireland.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Children

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Some of the third parties we use, including Stripe, may transfer your data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards under GDPR.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, particularly if we change our services or add new tools. We will post the updated version on this page with a new last-updated date at the top.
