Mulroy Meadow Farm
A family-run regenerative farm in Fanad, Donegal producing pasture-raised eggs, grass-fed Dexter beef, forest-raised pork and educational farm experiences.
About
Mulroy Meadow Farm is a family-run regenerative farm on the Fanad Peninsula in North Donegal, overlooking Mulroy Bay. Led by Cathal and Michelle, the farm produces pasture-raised eggs, 100% grass-fed Dexter beef, forest-raised traditional-breed pork and seasonal produce using chemical-free, soil-focused methods. Their work combines regenerative grazing, Korean Natural Farming practices, animal welfare and education, with farm tours and learning experiences that help visitors see how healthy soil, biodiversity and resilient food systems are connected.
How are you using natural farming on your land or farm?
Use it on our hens (Lactobacillus bacteria for bedding), and chicken tonic during the winter housing months. Also starting to use it on our market garden. Aiming to do full farm application by end of 2026
What changes or results have you noticed so far?
Hen bedding doesn't smell, hens much healthier and laying well - particularly for being in a shed due to mandatory housing order. Too early to say re market garden as things are only getting planted now
What would you say to another farmer who is curious but unsure?
Remember we are not trying to sell you anything (unlike any other middle man or scheme out there). Once you gain the knowledge, you can go away and make your own inputs for next to nothing and be more self sufficient
